Sanitary napkin or sanitary pad refers to absorbent item which is worn by a female while they are menstruating or recovering from vaginal surgery or any other condition where it is important to absorb blood flow from the vagina of the woman.

Panty Liner
It is used for absorbing light menstrual flow.

Regular
This includes middle range absorbency pads.

Ultra Thin
These are thin menstrual pads.

Maternity
These sanitary napkins or pads are longer than super pads and are meant to absorb lochia.

Nocturnal
These are longer pads which offer more protection while lying down.

Sanitary napkins are worn for absorbing menstrual discharge. They are wrapped in an individual manner and are easier and discreet for carrying in a bag or purse. The wrapper is used for wrapping soiled pads before their disposal in appropriate receptacles.
